Obituary of Garfield Sexton

     Garfield Sexton, of Morning View, KY passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at the age of 80.

     He was a retired Foreman for the City of Erlanger Public Works.  Garfield was a self-taught musician and enjoyed playing bluegrass music, fishing, gardening, fixing things, and formerly enjoyed playing and coaching softball. His greatest joy, however, was spending time with his family.

     Garfield was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Della Jean Sexton; brother, Ralph Sexton and sister, Glen Mills.

     He is survived by his children, Tina (Tony) Garera and Rick (Linda Billiter) Sexton; grandchildren, Brittany (Aaron) Garera-Stapleton, Erick Garera,  Austin Sexton and Ericka Sexton; great-grandchildren, Eiden Garera, Kerrigan Stapleton and Giana Stapleton and his faithful companion and four legged friend, Benny.

     A visitation for Garfield will take place from 4:00 PM until the time of the funeral service at 7:00 PM on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. Burial will take place the following day, Friday, March 30, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Erlanger, KY.

     In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Garfield’s name to the family c/o Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home for a memorial in his honor.
