Henry Franklin “Frank” Sloan Sr., age 76, of Taylor Mill, passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2018 in Williamstown, KY.

He was born to the late, Marion and Anne Sloan on May 24, 1941 in Prestonsburg, KY.

Frank was a minister in the Christian Churches for many years and was a special education teacher for the Covington Independent Schools.

He was a member of First Church of Christ in Burlington. Frank enjoyed woodworking, sail boating, working on his house and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Larry Brierley.

Frank is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Vonda; children, Henry “Frank” Sloan Jr. and William (Shanda) Sloan; brother, Frederick (Virginia) Sloan; and three grandchildren, Connor, Walden and Gable.

A visitation for Frank will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 1PM until the time of the Funeral Service, 2PM, at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence. Interment will immediately take place at Independence Cemetery.

Memorial donations are suggested to First Church of Christ, 6080 Camp Ernst Rd, Burlington, KY 41005.
