Obituary of Kathleen "Kathy" Libecap

Kathleen “Kathy” Kidwell Libecap, age 68, of Independence, passed away on Monday, April 30, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence.

She was born to the late, Kenneth Paul and Hannah Travis Kidwell on December 27, 1949 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Kathy was a member of First Church of God in Covington where she was a member of the Women of the Church of God Missionaries.

She was an incredible cook, who could make anything. Kathy enjoyed watching “her shows” including Westerns and “her news”. She also enjoyed spending time with her family who will miss her dearly.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Susan Gay and nephew, Johnny Kidwell.

Survivors include her two daughters, Kelly Libecap; Laura and son-in-law Jeremy Lilly; brother and sister-in-law, John and Sandy Kidwell; grandchildren, Rachel Marie, Mandy, Logan, Katherine, Noah, Frankie and Rachel Monica; great-grandchildren, Tre, ZaMeir, Mia, Zewdy, Zimena, and soon to be granddaughter Zaura Marie, along with many other loving family members and friends.

A visitation for Kathy will be held on Friday, May 4, 2018 from 5PM until 8PM at Chambers and Grubbs funeral Home in Independence. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at First Church of God- Covington, 524 W Southern Ave, Covington, KY 41015, beginning at 10AM.

Interment will immediately follow at Independence Cemetery. A reception will be held directly after the cemetery service at First Church of God-Covington.
