Obituary of Elsie Marlene Fayson

     Elsie Marlene Deatherage Fayson, of Florence, KY passed away peacefully at her residence on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the age of 62.

     She was born in Covington, KY on October 27, 1955; the daughter of Stewart and Hallie Deatherage. Elsie served as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps., was a member of Kenton Baptist Church and enjoyed horse back riding. Her greatest joy, however, was raising her beloved children and spending time with her family and friends.

     Elsie was preceded in death by her parents; brother, William Deatherage; niece, Marie Engle and nephews, Mark Engle and Mitchell Engle.

     She is survived by her devoted sons, Michael Fayson and Chris Fayson; siblings, Dorothy Kemper, Maybelle Engle, Doug Deatherage, Charlotte Brown and James Kevin Deatherage; grandchildren, Maliyah Fayson, Mikylie Fayson and Malachi Fayson; as well as many other relatives and friends who will mourn her loss and carry on her memory.

     A visitation for Elsie will be held from 10:30 AM until the time of the funeral service at 12:30 PM on Friday, May 11, 2018 at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. Burial will immediately follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North, 205 Eibeck Lane, Williamstown, KY 41097.

     Memorials in Elsie’s name may be made to either the VA Hospital, 3200 Vine Street, Cincinnati, OH 45220 or to Bluegrass Care Navigators, 2312 Alexandria Drive, Lexington, KY 40504.
