Obituary of Virginia Durr
Virginia Durr, age 99, of Independence, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Baptist Village Care Center in Erlanger.
She was born in Lexington, KY on November 14, 1918. Virginia was a homemaker and is preceded in death by her husband, William Durr in 2010 and great-great grandson, Maddox Powell.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Roy and Mary Ann Durr; granddaughters, Virginia A. Durr, Melissa K. Ziegelmeyer and Jennifer L. Hicks; 8 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
A visitation for Virginia will be held on Monday, July 23, 2018 from 10AM until the time of the Funeral Service, 11AM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence.
Interment will immediately follow at Independence Cemetery. Memorial donations, in lieu of flowers, are suggested to Hickory Grove Church, 11969 Taylor Mill Rd, Independence, KY 41051.
