Obituary of Steven "Steve" H. Collins

Steven H. Collins, of Union, KY passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY at the young age of 52.

He was born in Covington, KY on July 5, 1966; the son of Harold and Billie Collins. Steven enjoyed watching the University of Kentucky basketball, as well as playing and coaching sports. His greatest joy, however, was spending time with his cherished family.

Steven was preceded in death by his father, Harold Collins and a sister, Cheryl Ann Collins.

He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Deanna Collins; children, Kaylyn Nicole (Chris Clark) Collins, Austin Jameson “A.J.” Collins and Steven Hunter Collins; mother, Billie Collins; siblings, Kathy (Paul) Ecklar, Tim (Kathy) Collins and Vickie (Steve) Luhring; a soon to be granddaughter on the way, Karsyn Nicole Clark; four-legged and faithful friends, Gunner and Toby; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends who will mourn his sudden loss and cherish his lasting memory.

A visitation for Steven will be held on Monday, July 23, 2018 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. Steven’s funeral service will take place the following day, Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at Independence Cemetery in Independence, KY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the family to be used for a memorial for Steven.
