Obituary of Jim Lucas

Jim Lucas, age 79, of Independence, KY, passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at his son’s residence in Covington, KY.  He was a retired Machinist for General Motors and enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends.  His wife, Judith Ann Nehring Lucas preceded him in death. 

He is survived by his children, Doug Lucas (Cindy), Terri Chapman (Jerry), Tony Lucas (Lori), Paul Lucas (Jennifer), and Jason Lucas (Cally); brother, Bobby Lucas (Janet); grandchildren, Jeremy Chapman (Shannon), Julia Chapman (fiance’, Ray Crail), Joseph Chapman (fiance’ Rachel Stemple), Drew Lucas, Chad Lucas, Jake Lucas (fiance’, Natalie Weaver), and Mackenzie Lucas; and great-grandchildren, Josalyn, Memphis, Julian, Jaylin, Alli, and Kyah.  

Visitation will be Saturday, August 18, 2018, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. with the funeral service immediately following at 11 a.m. at the Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence.  Interment will be at Independence Cemetery.
