Obituary of James Forrest Wheeler

     James Forrest “Jim” Wheeler, of Florence, KY passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at the age of 86.

     He was born in Harrodsburg, KY on October 19, 1932; the son of the late Benjamin and Mollie Wheeler. Jim had worked as a supervisor for many industrial factories, enjoyed boat fishing and had served in the National Guard. His greatest joy, however, was spending time with his cherished family.

     Jim was preceded in death by his parents; son, James Steven Wheeler; one sister and three brothers.

     He is survived by his faithful caregiver and loving wife of 65 years, Ruby “Letha” Wheeler; daughter, Tina (George) Wheeler Mackay; brother, Robert “Bob” Wheeler; as well as many other relatives and friends who will mourn his loss and cherish the memories he bestowed upon them.

     In keeping with Jim’s wishes, a graveside service will take place at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Highland Cemetery, 2167 Dixie Highway, Fort Mitchell, KY 41017.

     Memorials in Jim’s name may be directed to either the American Cancer Society, 2808 Reading Road, Cincinnati, OH 45206 or St. Elizabeth Hospice, 1 Medical Village Drive, Edgewood, KY 41017.
