Obituary of Harrison Jones

     Harrison Jones, of Walton, KY passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Ft. Thomas, KY at the age of 72.

     He was born in Corbin, KY on February 13, 1947; the son of Felix and Elsie Jones. Harrison had worked as a chef, perfecting his talents by making delicious meals for family functions. He was also a Kentucky Colonel and a big fan of country music. Harrison was also a popular singer, having recorded the song “But Tonight I’m Going To Love You”, which climbed to #72 in 1974.

     He was preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Elsie Jones; a sister, Linda Lou Jones; and his longtime friend, Ryan Pilkins.

     Surviving to mourn Harrison’s passing are his cousins, Melinda  “Linda” Terry, Maritha “Janie” Messenger and Dennis and Junna Harris; as well as many other cousins and friends whose lives are now emptier with his passing.

     Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects to Harrison from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Big Bone Baptist Church, 11036 Big Bone Church Road, Union, KY 41091. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM at the church. Pastor Mike Jones will officiate. Burial will immediately follow at Big Bone Cemetery.
