Obituary of Lex Schmidt

     Natalie Alexis “Lex” Schmidt, of Independence, KY and at only 20 years of age, passed away unexpectantly on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at the University of Cincinnati Hospital as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

     She was born in Edgewood, KY on November 11, 1998; the daughter of Aaron Schmidt and Deborah Holder. Lex had attended and graduated from Boone County High School and was currently working for Dillard’s in Crestview Hills as a sales associate. She was a carefree spirit who enjoyed spending time with her many friends. Lex was an avid animal lover who also enjoyed nature and liked to boat and fish. Her greatest joy, however, was spending time with her loving family and keeping her siblings in line.

     Lex is survived by her mother, Dalynn Holder; father, Aaron and Stephanie Schmidt; siblings, Josh Schmidt, Jordyn Schmidt, Riki Stockton, Hunter Lovins and Hannah Hendrickson; grandparents, Doug and Becky Schmidt, Sherry Schmidt and Gene and Helen Holder; as well as many other close relatives and friends who will mourn her passing and continue to cherish her memory. Lex will be greatly missed by everyone that ever knew her. She was the kind of young woman that anyone would be proud to call daughter, granddaughter, and friend.

     Arrangements are being handled by Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home. A visitation for Lex will be held from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at the funeral home located at 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. A funeral service will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Lex will be laid to rest at Independence Cemetery in Independence, KY.

     In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to the Kenton County Animal Shelter, 1020 Mary Laidley Drive, Covington, Kentucky 41017. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home or you may personally mail a donation to them at the address above.
