Obituary of Leonard Robinson, Jr.
Leonard “Lenny” Robinson, Jr. passed away suddenly at his residence on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at the age of 72.
He was born in Covington, KY on October 16, 1946; the son of the late Leonard and Dorothy Robinson, Sr. Lenny worked as a mechanic and truck driver. He was a car and motorcycle enthusiast and in his spare time enjoyed playing cards. Lenny served in the United States Army as a helicopter mechanic during the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Melissa and Michelle and a step-son, Kelly. Lenny is survived by his children, Diana Robinson, Jeffery Robinson and Marcella Tague; siblings, Charles Robinson, Mike Robinson, Dotty (Calvin) Peebles, David (Kathy) Robinson and Ruthy (Kevin) Penick; ex-wife, Pamela Jump; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as many other relatives and friends who will mourn his sudden passing and cherish his lasting memory.
A visitation for Lenny will be held from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Friday, October 18, 2019 at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. A funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Lenny will be laid to rest at Independence Cemetery.
