Obituary of Debbie Freeman
Debbie Freeman of Union, age 52, passed away on Friday, February 26, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY. She was born in Covington, KY on July 1, 1968 to the late Bernard Souder and Marcella Smith. Debbie worked a few different places through out her life, but her ultimate job was to be a mother. She loved to care for her children and grandchildren which led her to become a wonderful foster mom. She also enjoyed caring for her home as she always kept a tidy house. In her spare time, Debbie would go on cruises with her devoted husband, Darryl. Debbie was very kind-hearted woman who helped anyone she could and will be missed beyond measure.
In addition to her parents, Debbie is preceded in death by her mother and father-in-law, Nora Louise and Jake Freeman II; and her sister-in-law, Pamela Sue Freeman. Survived to mourn her loss is her loving husband of almost 33 years, Darryl Freeman; beloved Children, Talesha (Donald) Isaacs, Jessica (Benny Ramirez) Freeman, Logan Freeman, Morgan Freeman, McKenzie Freeman, Michael Wagers, and Matthew Wagers; grandchildren, Cole, Ethan, Conner, Dylan, Addison, Jordyn, Ricky, Noel, and Zoe; siblings, Candy Sandlin, Bernard Souder, Jr., Michael Souder, Brian Souder, Jean Stanton, Joanne Slusher, Brenda Wolfe, and Gary, Kenny, John, and James Smith; as well as many other friends and family members who will forever cherish her memory.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 Dixie Highway Florence, KY. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, face masks are required, social distancing is encouraged, and 50 % capacity will be limited at the funeral home. Following the service, Debbie will be laid to rest at Beechgrove Holiness Cemetery in Burlington, KY. Memorial donations can be made in Debbie’s name to the National Kidney Foundation, Inc., 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.
