Obituary of R.C. Hanser
Richard Clark Hanser, age 78, of Florence, KY, passed away on Thursday, May 27th, 2021 at St Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood. He was born the son of the late Raymond and Helen (Lawrence) Hanser on April 22, 1943.
R.C. was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He absolutely loved bowling; he very proudly bowled a 300 game! R.C. proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He retired from Southern Wine and Spirits after 43 years. He was a member of St. Tim’s Catholic Church. R.C. also loved the Cincinnati Reds and UK basketball.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Thom Hanser, Ray Hanser, and Roger Hanser.
R.C. is survived by his loving wife, Jeneva (Blackaby) Hanser; children, Rich (Tracy) Hanser and Karen Hanser; grandchildren, Haley (Connor) Coyle and Cassie (Abel) Leitsinger; great grandchildren, Caroline Coyle and Chase Coyle; and faithful dog, Gracie.
A gathering of friends will take place on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 from 4:00PM until time of service with military honors at 6:00PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 Dixie Hwy, Florence, KY 41042. Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, face masks are required, social distancing is encouraged and 75 % capacity will be limited at the funeral home. In keeping with his wishes, R.C. will be cremated.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
