Obituary of Amanda Faye Hocker
Amanda Faye Hocker, 36, passed away on Monday, September 12 at her home in Florence, KY. She is survived by her parents, David and Carla Hocker, her maternal grandparents Wayne and Faye Willis, several nieces and nephews, and a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, David and Janie Hocker.
Amanda was loved by all that knew her. She made time for people and went out of her way to invest in those she loved. She encouraged, prayed for, and took care of anyone that needed it.
Amanda worked as a Revenue Cycle Specialist at St. Elizabeth Physicians. She was very involved in her church, Community Family Church in Independence, KY. She demonstrated her servant’s heart by volunteering in several ministries, including Impact Youth, United, Women’s Ministries, outreach programs, small groups and many others. She was a regional director for Empowering Women, a co-founder of Crystal Komala Ministries, and regularly ministered to those around her.
Amanda loved her friends and family, took pleasure in spending time with and spoiling her nieces and nephews, enjoyed watching UK basketball, kept things fun by playing pranks, stayed fueled with Dunkin’ iced coffee, and above all, she loved Jesus and spent her life living for Him and pointing others to Him with her beautiful smile and bright light.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022, from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Community Family Church, 11875 Taylor Mill Rd. Independence, KY 41051. The funeral service will begin at 1:00PM at the church. Immediately following the service, Amanda will be laid to rest at New Bethel Cemetery in Verona, KY. Memorial donations can be made in her name to Community Family Church building fund and Impact Youth Ministries.
