Obituary of William H. Cobble

William H. “Bill” Cobble, age 77, of Independence, KY, passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at his residence.  He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and later retired from Procter and Gamble after 31 years of work.  Bill was very outgoing and never met a stranger.  In his younger days, he enjoyed fishing and camping, but after his retirement, he enjoyed meeting with his “coffee buddies”, discussing college and pro sports and being outside working in the garden.  He was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnne J. Cobble, his parents, Dale and Essie Cobble, his granddaughter, Grace Caroline White, and his brother, Bobby Cobble.  Bill is survived by his daughters, Julie Anne Cobble and Amy White (Scott); and grandchildren, Jackson White, Sophia White, and Charlotte White.  His visitation will be Monday, October 10, 2022, from 6 to 8 p.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 5313 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051.  Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at 10 a.m. at the church.  Interment will be at St. Cecilia Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to St. Cecilia Catholic Church or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.  For directions or to leave the family a message of condolence, please go to the corresponding tabs on this page.
