Obituary of Brenda Marie Johnson

Brenda Marie Johnson 55 of Independence, KY, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Edgewood, KY surrounded by her loving family. She worked for Internal Revenue Services for 26 years and enjoyed being with family and friends during her spare time. Brenda is preceded in death by her father, Eddie Martinez, Stepfathers, Bill Kelsch and Rick Borges and her Grandmother's Lohr and Sparks. She is survived by her loving husband of 20yrs., Mark Johnson, daughter, Kristen (Adam) Bach and son, Cody (Barb) Thornberry. She also leaves behind her brothers and sisters, Curtis Bishop, Becky Houston, Robin (Angie) Kelsch, Marlene (Shawn) Barrett, Patrick Kelsch, Eddie Martinez, Peggy Nemes along with her Mother, Pauline Borges, her Grandchildren, who were her world, Avery, Addi, Karly, and Little Cody, along with several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Brenda lived a wonderful life and was truly blessed with so many cherished friends and family members that made her laugh as much as she made them laugh. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023, from 11am to 1pm at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Homes, Independence, KY. Funeral services will follow at 1pm with burial at Independence Cemetery.
