Mike Ferrell: remembering the first time meeting Wayne.
Remembering the first time I met Wayne. I came around the corner of our house and my wife Jean was talking to a man and a woman, Anna and Wayne. Jean introduced us and I looked at Wayne and Anna and thought to myself that I’m gonna like these people. I looked at Wayne and said “so you’re that hillbilly that lives next door”. Jean and Anna just about fell over. I then said to Wayne “well you now have a hillbilly for a neighbor “ and we both laughed. All I can say is that I was lucky to have Wayne for my best friend and neighbor. Since we have moved to Texas, we have really missed the our best friend.

Wayne, you will forever live in our hearts with the best memories of you. We were a young couple when we moved in by you and Ann.
A kind, gentle man with a delightful laugh and infectious smile. Always there to help us with whatever we needed. So generous with your time and helpful repair skills!
