Obituary of Alexander "Alex" Matthew Tye

Please share a memory of Alexander "Alex" to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Alexander “Alex” Matthew Tye of Independence, age 24, passed away suddenly on Monday, September 4, 2023. He was born in Cincinnati, OH on December 17, 1998, and was currently working as an AC technician for Airtron. To know Alex, was to love Alex. He was all around an amazing person to have in your corner. He was someone you could always count on to help you, he would even stop to help a stranger on the side of the road. Alex absolutely adored his family, especially his great grandma whom he had a special bond with, and he treated his friends as if they were family too. He loved spending a lot of his time outdoors by going hunting and fishing, playing frisbee golf, and riding his motorcycle which he referred to as his “wind therapy”. He liked tinkering with his race truck and going to Thornhill on the weekends. Alex was also a great welder. His favorite sports team was the Cincinnati Bengals, and he was a big fan of UK basketball. One of his mother’s fondest memories with him, is how Alex always told her “wuv-e”, which was how he said I love you when he was growing up. Alex was a son, grandson, brother, and friend who’s kindhearted, outgoing spirit will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his father, Matthew Tye; mother, Suzanne Davis; brother, Dylan (Rebecca) Davis; paternal grandma, Linda Tye; paternal grandpa, Roger Tye; maternal grandpa, William Davis; cousin, Greg Faulkner; uncle, H.C. Faulkner; paternal aunt, Brenda Norton; maternal aunts, Ruth “Aunt Roo” Faulkner and Brandi Strickland; beloved furry best friend, Copper; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and numerous friends who will forever cherish his memory.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Bonnie and Alene Tye; paternal great grandparents, Clara and Leslie Heuser, Sr.; maternal grandma, Dessie “Meme” Davis; and his uncles, Bill Tye, Bobby Heuser, Kevin Faulkner, and Dana Davis.
