Obituary of Wanda White

Wanda Jo White, age 75, of Independence, died Thursday, March 22, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood. After serving over 33 years as a Teacher mostly at Kenton Elementary, she retired and took a job leading tours for Travel America with her husband, Lawrence. She was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church and the Kenton County Retired Teachers Association. Wanda Jo also enjoyed spending time with friends and family, traveling, and collecting cars. Along with her husband, Lawrence, survivors include her son, Dwayne (Julie) White of Florence ; grandchildren, Tasha King of Tallmadge, OH, and Tyler White of Florence.
Visitation will be Monday, March 26, 2012 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hickory Grove Baptist Church, 11969 Taylor Mill Rd., Independence, KY 41051. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. at the church. Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence will be assisting the family. Interment will be at Independence Cemetery.
