Obituary of Carlos Petty

Carlos "Hot Foot" Petty, 72, of Walton, died Monday at St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit, Edgewood. He was a retired engineer with the Norfolk Southern Railroad and an Army veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include a daughter, Sherri Pennington-Holt of Norwood, Ohio; sons, Todd Petty and Brett Petty, both of Independence, and Mark Petty of Indianapolis; his mother, Ora Armstrong of Independence; brothers, Glenn Petty and Frank Armstrong, both of Independence, and Lowell Petty of Grant County; sisters, Mary Beth Bertha of Morning View and Harla Stamper of Hebron; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Walton. Visitation will begin there at 9 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Independence Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit, 483 South Loop Drive, Edgewood, Ky. 41018.
