Roy Nicholas Cook, 81, of Florence passed away Sunday, November 18, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood. He was a self-employed builder and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the UK Wildcats. Roy is preceded in death by his son Larry Hodges in 2010. Survivors include his loving wife Thelma Cook; daughters Debbie Hodges of Florence and Cathy (Larry) Buchanan of Florence; sons Allan (Barb) Cook of Burlington and Mike (Linda) Cook of Burlington; grandchildren Shellie, Tony, Jason, Kevin, Angel, Adam, Amanda, Travis, Carrie, Mike, Bridget, Jeff and Larry Jr.; great-grandchildren Payton, Maddison, Taylor, Austin, Alivia, J.R., Jackson, Grayson, Lawson, Logan, Landen, Bryson, Chesney, Brayden, Brett and Kenzie.
Visitation will be Wednesday November 21, 2012 from 10AM until the time of the Memorial Service at 12PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Florence. Burial will be at Union Rice Cemetery.
