Obituary of Shirley Roland

Shirley Ann Brooks Roland, age 77 of Walton, passed away December 16, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Hospice, Ft. Thomas. She was a home health care provider who was instrumental in in the Walton-Verona Alumni Association. She loved listening to Elvis music, enjoyed reading and bowling. Shirley is preceded in death by her husband Gerald G. Roland in 1971. She is survived by her sons Michael Roland of Paris, Ky., Gerald W. Roland of Cincinnati, Alan Roland and Steven Roland both of Walton, daughter Karen Roland Stanley of Central City, Ky., sister Georgia Steres of Lexington, Ky.,6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
A gathering of friends will take place from 10-12 noon Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Chambers & Grubbs Walton. Burial will be privately held immediately following at Hillcrest Cemetery, Dry Ridge.
