Obituary of Marie Kenwright

Marie Miller Kenwright, age 81, of Bromley, KY, died Sunday, December 23, 2012 at St. Elizabeth in Florence. She was born August 2, 1931 in Mt. Vernon, Rockcastle County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Bradley Miller and Geneva Mae Ponder. She worked in the food service industry for over 50 years, retiring from the Canteen at the IRS. She loved to play bingo, cooking, canning, being with her great-grandchildren and dispensing her wisdom to her loved ones. She will be missed by all. Survivors include her children, Ricky (Mary) Kenwright of Cameron, NC, Terry Morgan of Stanford, KY, Rebecca (Mark) Carter of Florence, KY, Teddy (Roxanne) Kenwright of Independence, KY, Rodney (Doris) Kenwright of Independence, Sandra Kenwright of Bromley, Doris (Ronald) Fisk of Demossville, and Alexander "Buddy" Kenwright of Independence; sisters, Carol Penny, Hazel Furnish, Wanda Warner, Linda McKnight, Barbara Read, and Thelma Wade; brothers, Robert Miller, Roy Miller, Steve Miller, and Gary Miller; twenty-two grandchildren; forty-four great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Visitation will be Thursday, December 27, 2012 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence. Funeral services will begin at 7 p.m. Interment will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Floral Hills Cemetery.
