Obituary of Greg Turner

Gregory Lawrence Turner, age 59, of Ft. Wright, passed away Monday, January 7th, 2013, at his residence. He was a Security Guard for Allied Barton Security and a member of the Florence Elks Club. Greg was a former Volunteer Fireman for Walton Fire Department and the Walton Police Department. He also loved Elvis music, Star Trek memorabilia, and karaoking. Survivors include his daughters, Vanessa Turner of Walton and Christina Ellis of Florence; brothers, David Turner of Cincinnati, OH and Mark Hopkins of New Port Richey, FL; sisters, Sandra Turner of Seymour, IN, Kathy Orebaugh of Los Angeles, CA, Lisa Byrd of Port Richey, FL, and Gina Morel of Tarpon Springs, FL; step-father of Albert Hopkins of Tarpon Springs, FL; and grandson, Scott Turner. Visitation will be Thursday, January 10, 2013 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Chambers & Grubbs in Independence with Elk Lodge services beginning at 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Life celebration service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Floral Hills Cemetery.
