My heart is sadden to hear the loss of an amazing woman! Carolyn was such a joy to be around. She was the first lady I met when I became a member of KOSAA...and we remained friends through the years. We shared many stories together about our children and vacations. We keep in touch electronically. I had prayed for her and the battle she endured with cancer. Carolyn trusted in God and his will for her life. My prayers are with her family that God will carry you through the years! I will never forget her!!!

Carolyn was always and ever kind and caring to all. She had a special capacity to open her heart to others and make them feel loved and appreciated. She was my friend and she was an inspiration to many, including me. A gentle soul has graced our world and now her smile lights the heavens.

When I became Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent with Pendleton County Schools, there was a lady named Carolyn Franxman who befriended me. Carolyn, along with myself, Susan from Campbell, & Janis from Walton became the “Fab Four”. We attended many conferences & meetings, where you could always find us sitting together, sharing laughs & stories about our work & our families. My heart goes out to Carolyn’s family during this difficult loss. Although no words can really help to ease the loss you bear, just know that you are very close in every thought and prayer. May the love of those around you help you through the days ahead. I know my life has been blessed to have had Carolyn as a friend.

Our hearts were saddened to learn of Carolyn's passing. Carolyn joined KOSAA in 2007 and faithfully attended many summer and winter meetings where she achieved Level IV in the Professional Assistants Academy, volunteered as group leader/recorder several times and served on committees. We have lost a wonderful friend and KOSAA member but her smiles, laughter and dedication to KOSAA shall never be forgotten. "Some people come into our lives, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never the same" (unknown author). This was Carolyn. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and all her many friends.

How I will miss my dear colleague and friend: our lunchtime rides in the convertible for an ice cream cone, her gentle, encouraging words and spirit when work challenged my patience and I just needed a sounding board, and her hearty laugh at a good joke or shared story about our grandchildren! May the abundance of memories that you as a family share bring you peace and comfort in the coming weeks, months and years as you move forward in the heritage and legacy left for you by Carolyn. You were certainly blessed to have her as your wife, mother, sisten or friend, and may God's peace reign in your hearts!

Carolyn has been of my closest friends. She cared about people and was the most honest person I know. Her love of the Wildcats was only surpassed by the love she had for her family. I could tell her anything (and did) and I knew she would give me honest feedback. She was smart, funny and had a beautiful soul. I admired her love for Walter and their relationship was strong and meaningful. When you meet Monica and Jeff you see bits of her within both. To the family, stay strong and know she talked about you each day and loved you very much. We will miss her...I will miss her...and know she watching over us in her unique way. God bless
