Obituary of Eldon Petty

Eldon G. Petty, Sr., 82, of Walton, passed away Monday, April 15, 2013 at Hospice of St. Elizabeth Healthcare of Edgewood. He was a truck driver for Central Transport, a bus driver for Kenton Co., loved being an usher for the Cincinnati Reds, and enjoyed fishing. Eldon was Catholic and served in the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his brother Carlos Petty and sister Connie Woodrum and his parents Arnold Petty and Ora Petty Armstrong. Survivors include his wife of 36 years Marjorie McCune Petty of Walton; daughters Connie Adkins-Ihle (Gregg) of West Chester, OH and Juli Ludwig (Joe) of Walton; sons Michael Petty (Becky) of Verona, Eldon "Glenn" Petty, Jr. (Jenny) of Burlington, Douglas Leugers (Paula) of Independence, Christopher Leugers (Christina) of Botkins, OH; sisters Mary Beth Sams of Independence and Harla Gibson of Boone Co.; brothers Frank Armstrong of Independence and Lowell Petty of Williamstown.; 16 Grandchildren and 20 Great-Grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5PM-8PM Friday, April 19, 2013 at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home of Independence. Funeral service will be 10AM Saturday, April 20, 2013 also at the funeral home. Burial will be at Independence Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Elizabeth Hospice, 483 South Loop Road, Edgewood, KY 41017.
