Obituary of Christie Bishop

Christie Bishop, age 77, of Independence, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2013, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Florence. He was a former Warehouseman for Sambo's, a U.S. Air Force Veteran, and attended New Banklick Baptist Church. He loved U.K. basketball and working in the yard. Survivors include his wife, Linda Goldsberry Bishop; daughters, Diana Bishop and Karen Bishop; sons, Christie Bishop, Jr, Jeffrey Scott Bishop, and Mark Bishop; sister, Rose Jackson; brothers, Arnold Bishop and James Bishop; three grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, May8, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Walton Cemetery, Walton , KY. Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence is assisting the family with services.
Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to the American Cancer Society, in memoriam of Christie Bishop, 297 Buttermilk Pike, Ft. Mitchell, KY 41017.
