Obituary of Daniel Squires

Daniel A. Squires, age 81, of Union, KY, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY. He was a farmer and a U.S. Navy Veteran. Mr. Squires enjoyed woodworking, reading, and singing. His brothers, Thomas B. Squires and Joseph Squires; and sisters, Margaret Crist, Mary D. Harrison, Mary Elizabeth Brown, and Judith Cannon preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Miller Squires; A daughter, Alice (Robert) Westbrook; A son, Andrew (Rhonda) Squires; and four grandchildren, Miranda (fiancée, Ken Williams) Westbrook, Zachary Westbrook, Andrea Squires, Austin Squires and a brother, Kenneth F. (Sue) Squires and nieces & nephews .
A gathering of friends will be held Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Beaver Lick Baptist Church, 11460 U.S. 42 Union, KY 41091. A Memorial Service will begin at 7 p.m. at the church. Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Florence is assisting the family with services.
There will also be a Memorial Service at 4:00 pm CDT on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Garfield Baptist Church, 91 Lodiburg Road, Garfield, KY 40140.
Memorials may be made to Gideons International or St. Elizabeth Hospice.
