Philip Alfred Griffith, age 62 of Independence, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Hospice. Philip was an Industrial Electrician for Dow Chemical. He also was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist of Taylor Mill, KY and enjoyed the outdoors. Preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Griffith, Mae (Ackman) Griffith; sisters, Brenda McGuire and Sandra Benton. Survivors include his wife Barbara Griffith; son, Matthew Slater of Independence; sister, Carolyn Mullikin of Williamstown; brothers, Dennis Griffith of Florence, Clyde Griffith of Hebron.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 25, 2012 from 11-1 PM at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home of Florence, KY. Funeral Service will be 1 PM Wednesday, April 25, 2012 also at Chambers and Grubbs of Florence, KY. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery.
