Obituary of Richard Steele

Richard "Ralph" Steele, Jr.,74, of Burlington passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Hospice of St. Elizabeth Healthcare of Edgewood. He retired after 31 years as a supervisor from Enerfab of Cincinnati and was a member of Community Family Church of Independence. Ralph was a member of both the Florence Masonic Lodge #949 and the Melrose, OH, Lodge #671 F. & A.M., a member of the Scottish Rite, enjoyed traveling especially by RV and never met a stranger. He was preceded in death by his parents Richard Ralph Steele, Sr. and Laura Alice Campbell Steele, brother Carl Kenneth Steele, and sister Doris Aileen Steele Bell. Survivors include his wife of 45 years Joyce A. Helton Steele of Burlington; son Ralph Birchel Steele and his wife Teena of Burlington; grandchildren Bryson Ray Steele and Natasha Nicole Steele both of Burlington; sister-in-law Trudy (David) Blankenship of Corbin; brothers-in-law Joseph R. Bell of Lily, KY and Boyd B.(Tina) Helton of London, KY; nephews Rick Bell of London, KY and Wendell Bell of Lakeside Park, KY; and beloved dogs Lizzie and Punkin. Visitation will be Friday, May 31, 2013 from 5 to 8 PM at Community Family Church 11875 Taylor Mill Rd. Independence, KY 41051 with Scottish Rite and Masonic Services. Funeral service will be 10 AM Saturday, June 1, 2013 also at the church. Burial will be at Cumberland Memorial Gardens of Corbin, KY. Memorials are suggested to Community Family Church.
