Obituary of Ruth Coomer

Ruth Ann Simmons Coomer, age 72, of Latonia Lakes, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Bridgeport Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Florence. She was a homemaker and a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Taylor Mill. Mrs. Coomer enjoyed quilting, cooking, and spending time with family. Survivors include her husband, Charles Frank Coomer; sons, Bobby (Donna) Coomer and Ronnie (Sherri) Coomer; sister, Alberta Simmons Penick (Reed); brother, Joe Simmons; four grandchildren, Holly Coomer-Crawford, Kyle Coomer, Travis Coomer, Jordan Coomer; and one great grandchild, Owen Crawford.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 2, 2013 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Floral Hills Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Coomer Family, c/o Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home.
