Obituary of David Pate

David Eugene Pate, 70, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2013 at the University Hospital of Cincinnati. He was honored as a Kentucky Colonel, a member of the HorseMen's Benevolent and Protective Association, but most of all he enjoyed his family and horses. David is preceded in death by his brothers Floyd and Loren and sisters Dorothy "Dot" Larson and Ida Pate. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Peggy Pate (NEE Chalk); daughters Sonia Pate (Derrick) of Union, Ida Dooley of Ft. Mitchell, Michelle (Eric) Bryant of Covington, Nicole (Robert) Wood of Crittenden; sons Maxie (Danielle) Pate and Travis Pate both of Edgewood; brothers Steve Pate of Ocala, FL, Bobby Pate of CA, and Ronnie Pate of Hahira, GA; grandchildren Tonia, Chad, Shane, KC, Kylie, Candy, Megan, Keegan, McKenna, Kameron, and Lelia Jean; great-grandchildren Alec, Jayce, Tenley, CJ, Cristovin, and Tristian. Visitation will be Thursday, July 11, 2013 from 5PM until 8PM at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence. Funeral service will be Friday, July 12, 2013 11AM at the funeral home.
