My deepest sympathy to Donnies wife and children. Donnie and I skateboarded together when we were young.I hadnt seen him since he was living in San Diego. We had some great times together driving his dark green Ford, a 67 Galaxy I think, in search of the next great spot to skate, rain or shine. I remember the car had a short, that would make for some interesting moments in the rain as the lights would go out if you hit a deep puddle. His picture is exactly as I remember him, same smile, same positive energy, like it was yesterday. I alway's admired his courage to think for himself and to grind away if need be. Im happy to see he has left a legacy of a loving family and friends. He will be sorely missed.

Don was a special guy. He always had an amazing smile for everyone he met. A real "people person", he made time to always ask about your day. He will be sorely missed at Mt. Washington Kroger. My condolences to his family in this sad time. Rest in peace my friend.

I have many fond memories of Donnie growing up in Finneytown. I lived around the corner and he was a welcome addition to the group of us that hung out in the neighborhood and spent many long hours just hanging out and playing together. We missed him at our last reunion and were hoping he would make it to the next one. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and loved ones who lost him too soon.

Donnie and I met as children when his family moved to Finneytown, just around the corner from my house. We were both in the third grade at the time and quickly became good friends. I will always remember the good times we had playing football and riding bikes in the warm weather and playing Atari and pool in his basement on inside days. I'm sorry to hear Donnie left us so soon. Thoughts and prayers go out to Chuck, Gail and the entire Johnson family.

Sad is my heart for the family and friends of Donnie, God has all the answers and one day we will know the why, but until then just know that God said he would not leave us comfortless He would send the comforter, My prayers go out to all who love Donnie... I know he will be missed but now he is on God's time and it will only be a twinkling of the eye before he sees us all again...until then just know God gives us the strength to handle all things

Donnie, I was stunned at what happened. I will always remember all our great times together. You were always like my brother, and I considered you number my bro. You know what I mean. I am deeply saddened because we had some great plans: paddlefest 2014, fishing, and just chilling out. I am most proud of you the past several months in all your struggles, and how you conquered them in the end. I will always miss you as a friend and confidant. You were my idol even though you are too many years younger than me. You had too much street smart knowledge to go so young. What am I going to do when I have a car problem and I can't call you up! My family and I will miss you forever.
