Della Marie Jones Love, 81, of Union passed away Friday, July 26, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Hospice of Edgewood. She was preceded in death by her parents Clinton and Julia (Walton) Jones. Survivors include her husband of 60 years Alan "Buddy" Love of Union; daughters Debbie (Dan) Rogers of Somerset, Darla (Bob) Schwenke of Union; sister Doretta Wilson of Union; grandchildren Julie (Michael) Petit, Mark (Sarah) Rogers, Brad (Mandy) Schwenke, Greg (Chelsea) Schwenke; great-grandchildren Cole, Nora and A.J. Schwenke; and many other relatives and friends. She was a loving, caring, giving person who was always helping others. She loved cooking and entertaining family and friends. Della retired from the Community Action Commission in Boone County after 27 years, was a member of Big Bone Baptist Church, was a Kentucky Colonel, enjoyed quilting, traveling, and very actively enjoyed planning senior events for Hebron, Petersburg, and Big Bone Church. She was also instrumental in the origination of the Boone County Senior Picnic.
Visitation will be Monday, July 29, 2013 from 12:00 Noon until time of funeral service at 2:00 PM at Big Bone Baptist Church. Burial will be at Big Bone Baptist Cemetery.
