Obituary of Mary Bach

Mary Helen Scherder Bach, born September 26, 1921, was called home by her Lord and Savior, Sunday, August 4, 2013, at the age of 91. She was one of eight children born in Covington, KY, before moving to Independence at the age of 2. She met her soul mate and the love of her life, George Bach and married in 1940. In 2002, George preceded her in death, after treasuring 61 ½ years of marriage. A son, Eugene Bach (2011) and a great granddaughter, Madison Smith (2000) also preceded her in death. Helen is survived by 12 children, Bobby Bach, Wayne (Barb) Bach, Kenny (Carolyn) Bach, Tony (Wanda) Bach, Albert (Debbie) Bach, Joe (Kathy) Bach, Pauline Hughes, Connie (Jim) Fuehner, Sandy (Pete) Collins, Sherry Bryant, Reva (Greg) Braunwart, Regina Bach, and daughter-in-law, Diane Bach. She also raised 4 of her grandchildren, Mary Helen Bach, Greg Bach, Mike Bach, and Robin Domaschko. Ms. Bach is also survived by 36 grandchildren and 52 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at St. Cecilia Church, 5313 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the church. Interment will be at St. Cecilia Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the St. Cecilia Church Building Fund or St. Matthews Church, 13782 Decoursey Pike, Morning View, Kentucky 41063-9707.
