Obituary of Chester Beckham

Chester Glen "Fuzzy" Beckham, age 74, of Independence, passed away Tuesday October 22, 2013, at his residence. He was a former Machine Operator for A.M.F. (Voit Tire Company), bus driver and maintenance worker for the Kenton County Board of Education, and previously served as the Mayor of Ryland Heights. He enjoyed fishing, U.K. basketball, playing cards, and baking (especially) Christmas cookies. Mr. Beckham also was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of St. Cecilia Church. Survivors include his sweetheart, Carole Anne Krebs Beckham; daughters, Amy Denise (Kelly) Foster, Beth Ann (Scott Billy) Faughn, and Cari Lynn (Adam) Brady; step-children, George (Dianne) Scherder, Geneva (Rick) Shay, and Sherry (Jed) Deters; brother, Donald Thomas Beckham; grandchildren, Tyler Brady, Hannah Brady, Alexis Faughn; step-grandchildren, Danita Scherder, John Scherder, Gracie Shay, Grady Shay, Samantha Deters, and Lucien Deters; and six great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 29, 2013, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at St. Cecilia Church, 5313 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, October 30, 2013, at 10 a.m. at the church. Interment will be at St. Cecilia Cemetery.
