Obituary of Elden McCubbin

Elden Coe McCubbin Sr., 73, of Independence passed away October 31, 2013 at home surrounded by family. He was a United States Army Vietnam Veteran and retired from Ironworkers Local #44 in 1998. He also enjoyed golf, card playing, and watching sports. Elden is preceded in death by his parents James and Melvina (nee Hodges) McCubbin and brother William Lloyd. Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years Paula (nee Blum); son Elden Coe (Julie) McCubbin Jr. "JR" of Erlanger; daughter Dinah (Matt) Bowman of Florence; sister Alma Sallee of Florence; and grandchildren Melissa, Rebecca, Molly, and Chase. There will be a Celebration of Life gathering Sunday, November 3, 2013 from 4PM until 7PM at the Erlanger Lions Club 5996 Belair Dr. Florence, KY 41042. Visitation will be Monday, November 4, 2013 from 3PM until the time of the funeral service at 6PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Florence. Memorial donations can be sent to the family of Elden McCubbin in c/o Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home.
