Obituary of Elbert Coots

Elbert Coots, 81, died Monday at his home. He was a final repairman for General Motors, a member of Community Pentecostal Church and enjoyed doing auto body repair work. His wife, Roberta Coots; grandson, Lenny Cox; granddaughters, Tina Coots, Lisa Wilson and great-grandaughter, Cameron Stull died previously. Survivors include daughters, Judy Cox, Darlene Tankersly and Monique "Kay" Stull; sons, Wayne, Gary, Gerald and Daryl Coots; sisters, Margie Partin, Helen Roark and Ruth Taylor; brothers, Denver and Richard Coots; 23 grandchildren and 53 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today, Wednesday with services at noon Thursday, at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Florence. Burial will be in Independence.
