There really aren't the right words to say in a time like this, just thoughts and prayers you can only hope convey the right message. This is my tribute. Helen "Colleen" Turner was Mom no.2 for me. From day one when I met this family I was accepted into it like one of their own, which was bizarre to me being an only child. She made sure I felt a sense of inclusion in family functions and made me aware that no matter what, I was, even by default, family. Through her strength of personality and forcefullness of character, I have little doubt that she helped mold me into the man I am today. Colleen helped to raise an awkward, freckled kid with a fro. For that I am truly thankful. And, she was a mean Spades player and notorious sandbagger. I know for the Turner/Maisch clan, these are difficult days. I'm truly sorry for those who were closest to her and I'm sorry for those who never met her. A magnificent flame set upon the Earth is now burning brightly elsewhere, beyond our sight. Please accept my humble condolences. Although circumstances keep me from physically being there for the service, my heart, thoughts and best wishes are already there. Scott and Sandra Pierce
