I am still in complete shock that Barb Gooch is gone. She has been a comforter to my children in the nursery since we joined Hickory Grove almost 10 years ago. I always knew when Barb had my babies because they smelled of her perfume! I knew that they had been loved and deeply cherished. She had so much talent, too. I will miss her piano playing at church. I have a special memory of Barb. One day while we were both working in the nursery, she told me about baby Brandon. Her story was so bittersweet. The first thing I thought of when I heard that she had passed was that she was able to be with her baby again. Praise God for his mercies.

Mrs. Gooch and Family, I am so sorry about your loss. Barbara was such a kind and sweet person. I always enjoyed doing weddings with her. She always had a smile and was always an encourager. She ministered to me several weeks ago when my wife Becky passed away. Heaven is so much sweeter to me because my wife and Barbara are there. I will continue to pray for you and your family. Janet & family, We were so horified to hear about Barbara. She has meant so much to us over the years. She was a sweet, sweet person. Rachelle had piano lessons with her for years. She really loved her students & it showed. She had a wonderful talent & her love of the Lord always showed. She was so good to Rachelle & her children. Barbara was a good friend during my high school and college years, and I enjoyed "visiting" with her often at the organ after services. I loved it not only when she played my favorite hymn ("Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee"), but when she played for my wedding. I will fondly remember the many laughs we shared, and I will pray for peace and comfort for all the friends and family who will miss her so dearly.
