Obituary of Charles Roberts

Charles "Charley" Bertley Roberts, age 77, of Verona, passed away at his residence. He was a former Regional Vice President for Kentucky Fried Chicken and a former Walton Volunteer Fireman. Charley was an avid U.K. fan and baseball fanatic. His parents, Dan and Blanche Roberts; and son, Charles Jeffrey Roberts preceded him in death. Survivors include his daughter Carla (Daniel) Carr of Ft. Mitchell; son, T.J. (Meghan) Roberts of Lampasas, TX; brother, Gayle Roberts of Mesa, AZ; sister, Clara Greek of Walton; and grandchildren, Beau Brindley, Claudia Carr, Kenna Carr, Jonathan Charles Roberts, Jenna Catherine Roberts, and Jared Calvin Roberts.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 15, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Walton United Methodist Church, 68 South Main St., Walton, KY 41094. A memorial service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. at the church.
Memorials may be made to the Roberts Family, c/o Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051.
