Jim, Kim, and Heather, please accept our sincerest condolences. The last time Young Mi and I saw Denise was when her mother passed and we were in Ohio for the services. Denise and her sisters were given very special gifts from two of the most loving and caring people I have ever known, Vernon and Janet Dare, my Uncle and Aunt. When Denise told you something you knew it was sincere and from her heart. She was compassionate and truly cared about what she did, no matter what it was. She never gave up fighting. Painful lessons she learned from her parents and their battles with cancer and M.S. I could go on explaining her other attributes, but would be telling you and others what they already know. I was fortunate to know Denise and we can all learn and share her gifts. She was an extraordinary person and we will miss her.
Love,
Tom Kenney and family.

I remember her as far back as I can remember. She was an amazing aunt, and a great mother, and I know an awesome grandmother! She was always kind to me, and always very loving, just like her mother, Janet Dare. I know she is up in Heaven now looking down watching over all of us. I wish I could have spoken with her one last time before she passed, I had not in 10 years. She left me a voice mail a few days before her passing, which I still have. I was planning on calling her back as soon as she got back to me, and before that could happen, God made other plans. She was a beautiful person with a beautiful soul, and will be missed so very much. I found a poem for my aunt Neen, and I would like to share it on here.
I thought I saw her face today,
with the rising of the sun.
Yet then I heard an Angel say,
"Her Work on Earth is Done".
Then I though I heard her voice today,
and thought I heard her laugh.
Yet then I heard an Angel say,
"There is peace little one at last".
I thought I felt her touch today,
in the breeze that rustled by.
and then I heard an Angel say,
"The spirit never dies".
I thought that she had left us,
for the stars so far above.
and then I heard an Angel say,
"She left you with her love".
I knew that I would miss her,
Would I ever find my way?
and then I heard the Angel say,
"She's with you everyday'!
This poem really touched me, and I hope it does you as well. I really miss and loved her, and I know she is in a better place now. She is an angel <3

Denise and I had not seen each other since high school but that did not stop us from catching up at our last class reunion. I had just lost a kidney to the "C" word and she would call me every six months to check my latest c-scan to make sure it was clean. One call I think very sweet, but she called for three years never forgetting a six month period. I could tell her personal health was in decline, she never complained. That next call was over due 3 weeks back and week ago I thought I should give her a call, I feel so bad I didn't only to learn a week later of her passing. I still feel her concern about my health and know she with the Angels, smiling down.

I will always remember you, Denice, and the good old days that we all spent together in Junction City, Kansas, and at Ft. Riley in Kansas. May you rest in peace. You were too young to go. God Bless you and your beautiful family. Love, Sharon Mander

I would like to start this letter by saying, I love you Kim and Heather. From the first time I met your Mom, She was always kind to me as I was her. When I would be at one of the Grandkids birthday parties, She would be there, and sometimes we would sit at the table and chat. Before we would leave from the party I would reach out and give her a hug or she would to me.She was a lovely woman. You both were blessed to have her for your Mom as she was blessed to have you 2 as her daughter's. Just always remember that your Dad and I are here if you need anything. I love you both, Nancy
