Obituary of Rinthey Llewllyn

Our deepest sympathy to the family of Rinthey Marie (nee Hayes) Llewellyn, of Taylor Mill, who passed away on Monday, February 10, 2014 at the age of 84 years. She was born on March 13, 1929 in Somerset, KY, the daughter of Martin and Betty (nee Adams) Hayes. Rinthey was a meat wrapper and retired from Kroger's after nearly 18 years. She enjoyed quilting and gardening flowers. Rinthey's greatest joy, however, was spending time with all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Walter; daughters, Eva (Jack) Alsip of Covington, KY and Eyvone Cahoone of North Carolina; step-daughter, Karen (Jeff) Patterson of Carthage, TN; step-son Jim (Sheila) Llewellyn of Taylor Mill, KY; grandchildren, Brian Carlson, Shea Carlson, Darrell Nichols, Jr., Tammy Wilson, Nancy Tufts, Brent Llewellyn, John Pflug and Tammy Heinzman; and 14 great-grandchildren. Rinthey was preceded in death by her parents and 7 other siblings. A visitation for Rinthey will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2014 from 10AM until the time of the 12PM (Noon) Funeral Service at Oak Ridge Baptist Church, 6056 Taylor Mill Rd., Covington, KY 41015. Burial will follow immediately after the service at Independence Cemetery in Independence, KY. Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence are assisting the family.
