Our military men and women in life and death demonstrate John 15:13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. 2 Timothy 4:7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. May God's perfect peace comfort your family until you are reunited with Drew in heaven.

Landis Family, I went to school with Drew at Grove City College. My heart was absolutely broken when I heard of your loss, my brother will be serving in Afghanistan as well and I cannot imagine the depth of your pain. Please know that you have people on their hands and knees daily lifting you up to the Father. Thank you for your sacrifice. Your son is our hero. - Jordan

Please accept my condolences. The brief time that I knew your son was at DLI, I encountered hundreds of Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Airmen during my time at that school and I can honestly say Landis, as he was know to me, was exceptional addition to that environment. I knew him more on a profession level more so than a personal one. Most of the time we spent together was company or class related. Whether it was at the range, or study hall or even PT he had a positive outlook on every situation and really lightened the mood with his humor whenever possible. I am so sorry for your loss. Rest in peace Landis.

Ed, CJ, Adrian, Ted, and Andrea. There are no words to express how I felt when Mona gave me the news about Drew. As I struggle now to let your family know that you are in our solemn prayers, I can only say that as I look back to take measure of the things that God has blessed me with, and to consider those things of value that make a man who he is, that I can simply say the times that God allowed me to spend with Drew and his teammates on the ballfields were some of the best days. Others here have spoken of Drew's smile - I remember that smile. He showed me that smile when something good happened. Always when it meant we became better as a unit than we each were individually as parts. He worked hard and became one of our best pitchers. But a small part of me thought he always had a problem with striking guys out - cause that always meant you made the other guy sad at the same time. Drew loved his family. I remember how he would take care of his little brother to make sure Teddy knew how things were done. He made me a better human being for having known him. He will be missed, and he will not be forgotten.

I played baseball with Drew several years ago. He was a great all-around teammate and friend. I know he went on to do great things off the field as he got older, and it is a tragedy to lose him at this point in what would have continued to be a selfless and encouraging life. I send heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones. Rest in peace, friend.

Drew's leaving us all so early is heartbreaking. I was honored to know Drew for a short time (during law school). He was Drew of the eternal smile. That smile is looking down on us all now, and I hope we can all draw some comfort from the thought that Drew is with the angels. We will see you soon, dear Drew and I hope memories of you and that smile will bring us comfort in the interim.

Please accept my sincere sympathies for the loss of your dear Drew. I remember him at Calvary and always enjoyed his adorable smile. I can only pray that you will find comfort and peace in God, and in believing that Drew will greet you some day at the golden gate of Heaven. Again, I am so very sorry.
