Edith Eleanor Porter Smith, 92, of Covington, KY passed away Saturday, February 22, 2014, at Gallatin Health Care in Warsaw, KY. She was born in Pendleton County, KY, January 2, 1922, the daughter of the late Oscar Porter and Mable Childers Porter. Eleanor lived in California for many years, working at Bank of America, and in Florida, after retirement, with husband, Robert C. Smith. She enjoyed dancing and tennis, and was an accomplished artist and seamstress. Survivors include her brother, Robert L. Porter, Sr., sister, Christine Antrobus, and several nieces and nephews. Her husband Robert; brothers, Plumas, Ben and Ronald Porter; sister, Irene Miller; and niece, Mabel Trapp, all preceded her in death.
There will be no public services. Entombment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, KY.
Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
