Obituary of Mae Matteoli

Mae Etta Kanatzar Matteoli, age 74, of Villa Hills (formerly of Independence), passed away Monday, February 24, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY. She was a homemaker and a member of Florence Baptist Temple, where she previously served in the Welcome Center, in Ladies Ministry, and by cleaning the church. Mae loved to read, enjoyed listening to Gaither's music and especially spending time with her family. Her husband, Robert Joseph Matteoli; sister, Ruth Millbaugh, and brother, Carl Crutchfield preceded her in death. She is survived by daughter, Robin J. (Gerry) Chambers; son, Jeffrey A. (Tina) Matteoli; brother, Joseph Ed Kanatzar; grandchildren, Cory Chambers, Ryanne Ross, and Alex Matteoli; great grandchildren, Karah, Brooks, Cooper, and Jordyn. Visitation will be Friday, February 28, 2014 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Florence Baptist Temple, 1898 Florence Pike, Burlington, KY 41005. Interment will be at Floral Hills Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Florence Baptist Temple.
