Obituary of Doris Eisenschmidt

Doris Janet McNeely Eisenschmidt, age 83, of Walton, passed away Friday, March 21, 2014, at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood. She was a retired Bookkeeper for Dixie State Bank in Walton, a member of Walton Christian Church, and a member of the Air Stream Travel Club. Doris was the past President of the Walton Verona P.T.A. and she enjoyed Swedish weaving, spending winters in Florida, and most of all spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, Robert Charles Eisenschmidt (of 63 years); daughter, Sharon (Terry) Gadd; son, Blake (Kim) Eisenschmidt); grandchildren, Justin and Jeremy Portwood, Branden and Brent Gadd, and Miranda and Mason Eisenschmidt; great grandchildren, Tanner, Carson, Eli, and Lillian. Her daughter, Anita Portwood preceded her in death. Visitation will be Monday, March 24, 2014 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home in Walton. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Spring Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, St. Jude's, or the Salvation Army.
