Obituary of Richard Allen

Richard Allen, age 71, of Independence, passed away Monday, March 24, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood. He was a retired Truck Driver for C.F.I., a member of Community Family Church, and a U.S. Navy Veteran. Mr. Allen loved the Lord and had a wonderful sense of humor. He enjoyed fishing, cooking (especially cheesecakes), playing games and spending time with his family. His daughter, Catherine Molly Allen preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Allene Dobbs Allen; daughters, Regina (Jay) Stegman, Sandy (Dave) Bales, Joanna (Mike) Clark, April Lynn (Wayne) Wagner; brothers, Charles Allen, Jr., Edward R. Allen, and Robert C. Allen; sister, Joyce Ann Konerman; grandchildren, Makayla Wagner, Brandon Wagner, David (Kaycee) Bales, Jr., Daniel (Trish) Stegman, Andrew Stegman, Matthew Stegman, Erica (Nathan) Atwood, Joshua Clark, and Morgan Clark; great grandchildren, Angel, Harold, Matt, Jr., Kaytlyn, Javer Allen, Carter, Makenzie, and one great grandchild on the way. A gathering of friends will be held Saturday, March 29, 2014 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Community Family Church 11865 Taylor Mill Rd., Independence, KY 41051.
