Obituary of Woodrow Ross

Woodrow W. Ross, Jr., age 70, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014, at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood. He was a retired Crane Operator for Maxim, a member of the Walton Masonic Lodge, and member of the Good Guys Club. "Woody" was a U.S. Marine and Vietnam Veteran, Commander of the Johnson/McElroy American Legion Post #277 in Walton, and a member of the Ralph Fulton V.F.W. Post in Elsmere. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, working in tobacco, hanging out with his friends, and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife, Elrose "Ellie" L. Schuler Ross; son, Jason (Rebecca) Woodrow Ross; sisters, Frances Bailey and Liz Pray; brothers, Logan Ross and Archie Ross; grandchildren, Aiden Ross and Kylie Ross. Visitation will be Friday, April 4, 2014 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home in Walton. Funeral services will begin at 12 noon at the funeral home. Interment with military honors will be at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery in Williamstown. Memorials may be made to the American Legion Post #277, 415 Jones Rd., Walton, KY 41094.
