Obituary of Curtis Cooper

Curtis Cooper, age 78, of Independence, KY, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2014, in Watertown, WI. He retired from Johnson Controls in 1994 after 27 years of employment, was a U.S. Army Veteran, and attended Staffordsburg United Methodist Church. His daughter, Janna Pushaw, granddaughter, Avery Enzweiler, and grandson, Joshua Cooper, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Ann Rich Cooper; sons, Gary Cooper of Bellevue, KY and Gordon (Wendy) Cooper of Watertown, WI; daughters, Joy (Hoyt) Brashear, Jillaine Cooper, and Jennifer (David) Zornes all of Morning View, KY, and Julie (Marc) Enzweiler of Independence; brothers, Bob Cooper of Morning View and David (Jenny) Cooper of Florence, KY; sisters, Jackie (Tom) Howard of Louisville, KY and Marilyn (Mike) Vaughn of Germantown, TN; fourteen grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday April 10, 2014 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence. Funeral services will be Friday, April 11, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown, KY.
